Yes, Melaleuca has been in business over 25 years making it one of the older, established mlm companies around today.

Melaleuca Scam Tip #2: Are the products “evergreen” meaning will they be around for an infinite amount of time?

Yes, the original Melaleuca product line is nutritional, which is one of the largest niches in the world today. Not only does Melaleuca continue to grow, but they have also expanded into “green products” for the home, such as cleaners, etc….very “Amway like”.

Melaleuca Scam Tip #3: Can you generate immediate, substantial income? As a new representative of an mlm company, too many people just don’t have access to enough capital to finance the proper marketing efforts to be successful.

Melaleuca Scam Tip #5: Does Melaleuca have a marketing arm in place to assist its distributors? Yes they do but unfortunately, they still subscribe to the “old school” marketing strategies as their primary source of generating business.

Xango is another network marketing company offering its wares, (a mangosteen juice), among other products, through an MLM structure. Network marketing can be quite the lucrative venture for the right people, or should I say for the people with the right attitude and work ethic.
Xango is another one of “those” health and wellness MLM companies that has experienced great success utilizing a very good product line of nutritionals. Xango actually has more than one million distributors internationally and advertises a 50% payout on “qualified commissionable” sales volume.
Many times network marketing companies will “get ya” on the terminology used in the contract. What exactly is “qualified commissionable”? Well, when you actually read the distributor agreement or should I say have your attorney read it, (laymen’s terms are rarely used), you come to realize that technically the company is above board, but very few distributors will realize success.
And “technically” doesn’t pay the bills for the thousands of Xango distributors out there. We will take a closer look at the Xango compensation plan in this piece to hopefully shed some light on the sometimes confusing world of MLM compensation plans as a whole, and Xango in particular.

1) Xango Compensation Feature #1- Retail Sales are a large part of the Xango compensation structure. Basically the distributor will purchase the product at wholesale cost and sell it to a customer (a non distributor), at the retail price and keep the difference as their profit.

2) Xango Compensation Feature #2-The Power Start bonus can vary between twenty and thirty percent depending on sales volume and is based on any brand new customers or brand new distributor you bring into the business. The Xango autoship or ADP as they like to refer it is usually the $100 or $200 level, therefore at the higher percentage; your commission would either be $30 or $60 respectively. This is a weekly paid bonus.

3) Xango Compensation Feature #3- The Unilevel Residual Income bonuses are commissions paid out monthly and pays between five and ten percent on your first three levels down of all “re-orders”. You can qualify to receive monies at deeper levels, but these drop down to the two to five percent range.

4) Xango Compensation Feature #4-Bonus Pooling is only for distributors that have reached the “Premier Level” within Xango. The company holds back three percent of sales volume to be distributed among this elite group known as the Global Bonus Pool every quarter.

access to market the service to others.

That Free Thing Fact #3:

The Company’s founder, Seth Frazier, who was also the man in charge back when the company originally started, has become known as the “Freebie King” since developing innate skills for producing free offer deals
from other companies.

Background on other principals involved with the company I found to be sketchy at best. The only address I could find for That Free Thing was in Denver, Co and any additional information isjust hard to come by.

Not being able to locate more in depth information on either the company itself or the people behind the company, raises suspicions certainly. Always remember to do your own due diligence when investigating any network marketing company, or
any company for that matter.

That Free Thing Fact #4:

That Free Thing calls the representatives or members; “Free Loaders” The registration fee to become a Free Loader is just $25. The monthly membership fee is just $9.95, which is certainly affordable by everyone, even the indigent
when you think about it.

This entitles the Free Loader to receive just 5 free things per week. If you choose to become a business builder you can gain access to the That Free Thing video email system, company advertising co-ops and a back office environment.

That Free Thing Fact #5:

The Company has decided on a 3 x 8 forced matrix compensation structure which are not as common in network marketing as others. Their matrix has matching bonuses down through 3 generations and commissions are distributed both on new signups and the monthly $9.95 membership fees.

This compensation structure means that your down line associate team would be three wide and down eight deep. The so called attraction to a forced matrix in theory is that spillover is created; therefore putting people you didn’t recruit in your down line.

Rarely does this ever create an environment of team continuity and growth. The spillover theory is really more like a gimmick than anything else. Too many people buy into the idea they won’t have to work as hard recruiting people and nothing could be farther from the truth.
